Your information on Ready for Loads
Updated
ReadyForLoads.com is a free research site for small trucking carriers. You don’t need an account to use it, and we never ask for your name to look anything up. This page covers what we keep and who else handles it.
| When you | What we keep | Who else handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Read a page | Standard request logs: your IP address, the page address and your browser type, kept for about a week | Cloudflare, which hosts the site |
| Look up a DOT or MC number | The number travels to our server to read FMCSA’s public data. We don’t save it with anything about you, though it sits in the same short-lived request logs | Cloudflare |
| Open the home page | Nothing. Cloudflare estimates your state from your connection so the page can point you to your state’s rules | Cloudflare |
| Use the site at all | Counts of visits, pages and tool use, tied to a random ID, not to you | Google Analytics |
| Tell us whether a broker set you up | Your answer, the broker, and your authority age, liability limit and state that day from FMCSA’s record. We keep a one-way code made from your number so you can answer once a quarter, never the number itself | Cloudflare |
| Send a correction | The listing, what you write and the link you give, kept as long as we need them to check the fix | Cloudflare |
| Give an email with a correction | Your address, used only to confirm we got the correction and to tell you the outcome. We delete it 90 days after the correction closes | Cloudflare, which sends the email |
| Click through to a company | Nothing beyond the visit counts above | The company’s own site, under its own policy |
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages and tools carriers use, so we know what to improve. No Google tag or cookie runs on our pages. Your browser sends the events to our server, and our server passes them to Google without your IP address, with only the approximate country and state Cloudflare reports for your connection. We never send the numbers you look up or anything you type into a form. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we send Google nothing at all.
Kept in your browser
Your light or dark theme, the DOT or MC number you choose to save so pages can show what fits your authority, and the random analytics ID stay in your own browser’s storage. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them. Cloudflare may also set a short-lived security cookie when it checks for automated traffic. We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t sell or rent information about you to anyone.
Asking about your information
Email editor@readyforloads.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. We answer within 30 days. We may share information when the law requires it.
