Check your authority and what's due next

See what FMCSA's public data shows for your authority, insurance filing, process agent and safety rating. The check also works out your MCS-150 month and the next UCR and IFTA dates.
On FMCSA's record
MCS-150 month
The last digit of your USDOT number sets the month. The digit before it sets the year: odd digits file in odd years, even digits in even years.

Dates coming up
FMCSA paused enforcement of MCS-150 updates due on or after June 1, 2026, and its September 10 notice gives no end date. File on time anyway: the update is free.
Record data from FMCSA's public files. It can run a few days behind FMCSA's own systems, so check a change there before you act on it. Dates and rules from the Code of Federal Regulations, the UCR Plan and the IFTA agreement, checked October 22, 2026.
Frequently asked questions
What does the authority status check show?
Four items from FMCSA's public data: authority status, insurance filing, BOC-3 process agent and safety rating. Your MCS-150 month and the next UCR and IFTA dates come with them.
How is my MCS-150 month set?
From the last two digits of your USDOT number. The last digit picks the month, and the one before it picks odd or even years.
Will it tell me before my insurance lapses?
Only when you run it. A cancellation on file shows with the date it takes effect unless a replacement filing posts first, and nothing is emailed to you, so check again after any policy change.
Is this FMCSA's official record?
No. Ready for Loads isn't affiliated with FMCSA and doesn't file anything for you. The check reads FMCSA's public files, which can lag FMCSA's own systems by a few days.
