Florida trucking rules for small carriers
Updated
Florida ties combined liability per occurrence to gross weight. A truck from 26,000 to 34,999 pounds needs $50,000 plus other requirements, the 35,000 to 43,999 range needs $100,000 and anything at 44,000 pounds or more needs $300,000, though vehicles under federal Part 387 subparts A and B meet the federal minimums instead. Intrastate household-goods movers register before operating, paying $600 at application and at each two-year renewal.
