Flock Freight is a freight broker that works with carriers once their authority is 90 days old and sets them up through the Flock Platform. It asks for $1 million in auto liability, $100,000 in all-risk broad-form cargo, $1 million in general liability ($2 million annual aggregate) and statutory workers' comp with $1 million in employer liability. It pays within 30 days of an undisputed invoice, with TriumphPay QuickPay and same-day options.

Best for
Carriers with 90 days of authority, $1 million auto and general liability and all-risk cargo

Our take

Flock's paperwork asks the most of your agent. Flock and its customers have to be additional insureds and loss payees, with primary and noncontributory coverage and a waiver of subrogation, and reefer carriers need the breakdown deductible listed separately on the COI. Watch the document clock: the POD is due within 24 hours or by the time Flock asks, and paperwork still missing after 90 days forfeits the payment.

Cons

  • Hazmat calls for $5 million in auto liability
  • Unsatisfactory and Conditional ratings are ruled out
