Uber Freight is a freight broker that signs up carriers through a public registration hosted by RMIS/Truckstop. It asks for $1 million in auto liability, $100,000 in cargo, $1 million in general liability and statutory workers' comp with at least $1 million in employer liability. Quick pay lands within two business days of POD approval for 2.5% of the invoice, and you choose the payout speed when you book.
- Best for
- Carriers with $1 million auto and general liability, $100,000 cargo and workers' comp
Our take
Uber Freight asks for more insurance than auto and cargo, so it suits carriers who already carry general liability and workers' comp, with insurers rated A-VII or better. Any carrier rated Satisfactory, or not yet rated, meets its safety rule.
Uber Freight's own pages give no age rule, and a third-party setup profile reports none, so confirm before you plan a first load. Quick pay costs 2.5% of the whole invoice, accessorials included, and goes only to an ACH bank account, so it doesn't work with factoring.

Frequently asked questions
What else does Uber Freight check on insurance?
Uber Freight and the shipper must be additional insureds on the general liability policy. Reefer haulers also need a cargo policy that covers breakdown and running out of reefer fuel.
